Frequently Asked Questions
Who can benefit from counselling?
Anyone facing challenges in their life can benefit from counselling. This includes people experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief, trauma, or neurodiverse experiences such as ADHD. Counselling provides a safe space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and patterns, helping you grow, build confidence, and move forward.
What happens in a counselling session?
Sessions are tailored to you and your needs. You'll have space to talk openly, reflect, and explore patterns or challenges in your life. Together, we'll work on ways to build confidence, self-esteem, and personal growth, helping you make meaningful progress at your own pace.
How long are sessions and how often should I attend?
Sessions usually last around fifty minutes. Frequency depends on your goals and circumstances, and we can discuss a plan that works best for you. Flexible scheduling is available to fit your life and priorities.
Can I book a free introductory call?
Yes. The free 15-minute introductory call is an opportunity to meet, ask questions, and see if we're a good fit. There's no pressure — it's simply a chance to explore whether counselling with me feels right for you.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions are offered both face-to-face and online, giving you flexibility to choose the format that works best for you.
How do I book or cancel appointments?
You can book directly via the website or contact me by email. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know in advance so we can find a suitable alternative.
Is my information confidential?
Absolutely. Confidentiality is a cornerstone of counselling. What we discuss in sessions stays private, within the limits of professional and legal guidelines.
What if I feel therapy isn't right for me?
It's normal to feel unsure at first. Counselling is most effective when you feel comfortable and supported. If it doesn't feel like the right fit, we can discuss other options or I can help you find a therapist who meets your needs.
